Using an interactive awareness exercise and a dialogue circle, participants shall gain an emotional and intellectual understanding of how colonization of the land we now know as British Columbia and Canada has impacted the people who lived here long before settlers arrived.
You will explore the history of the nation-to-nation relationship between Indigenous and non-Indigenous peoples in Canada.
With this knowledge of our shared history, participants will learn how our governments have enacted legislation and made agreements that are leading to respectful shared governance on the Sunshine Coast.
