You can gift one or more ElderCollege courses to a friend or family member by purchasing a gift card for the amount needed to cover the course costs.
- Choose the gift card amount that you want ($40 for each course).
- Enter the email address for the recipient (being careful to type that correctly).
- Enter your own email address.
- Enter a note for the recipient. You might suggest the course you’re wanting to gift them, However, they will have the option to use the gift card for any course of their choosing,
Note that purchasing a gift card will not guarantee a spot in the desired course for the recipient. To secure a spot, they should register as soon as they receive the gift card.
At this time we only offer gift cards in multiples of $40. If you wish to gift a course which requires additional fees (e.g. for boat trips to Thormanby Island, food costs for cooking courses, art supply costs for art classes), the recipient will be able to apply your gift card as partial payment for the order and use their credit card to pay the remaining amount.
For example, an art class which has a supply fee of $30 would cost $70 total. It can be paid for with one $40 gift card and the remaining $30 by credit card.
